Suka Pinakurat is vinegar derived from fermented coconut nectar and spices of the Iligan farmlands. Suka Pinakurat was created in the kitchen of Mr. Rene Jose B. Stuart del Rosario. The vinegar was named after the traditional Iliganon dish made from wild boar meat “sulop” and the word pinakurat comes from the visayan word “kurat” meaning surprise. The taste of the vinegar was so much like the dish Mr. Rosario decided to use its name.
The delicious tangy sweet taste is not the only surprise of this vinegar. Mr. Rene Jose B.
