Recipe for Naan Pizza

This simple yet delicious recipe comes from Nigella Lawson’s Nigella Express. She uses fontina cheese, mushrooms, and thyme for this version, but the topping possibilities are pretty much endless.

Naan Pizza

This simple yet delicious recipe comes from Nigella Lawson’s Nigella Express. She uses fontina cheese, mushrooms, and thyme for this version, but the topping possibilities are pretty much endless.

Serves: 1

Ingredients:

  • 1 naan
  • 2 tsp. tomato puree (chopped and sieved tomatoes) from a jar or other tomato sauce
  • 1/2 cup drained mixed mushroom antipasto from a jar
  • 1/2 cup chopped fontina
  • 3 stalks fresh thyme

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 425 degrees F. Place the naan on a baking sheet lined with aluminum foil, baking parchment, or Silpat.
  2. Spread tomato puree or sauce over the naan, then pour the drained mushrooms and sprinkle over the chopped cheese before adding the thyme leaves stripped from the stalks.
  3. Cook in the oven for about 5 minutes; at this time the cheese should be bubbling and melted.
