This is a delicious and simple wok fried pepper steak recipe. Enjoy. Serves 6
½ kilo sirloin steak, thinly sliced
½ cup soy sauce
¼ cup lime juice
1 teaspoon sugar
5 cloves garlic, minced
1 can of mushrooms
2 medium peppers, sliced
pepper, to taste
In a medium bowl, mix lime juice, soy sauce, sugar, pepper and half the minced garlic. Add the steak and marinade for at least 30 minutes. Set the marinated steak aside and keep the marinade diluted with water for sauce.
In a large skillet or wok, heat oil and sauté the remaining garlic and beef. Stir-fry till brown and tender. Now add the mushrooms and peppers. Cook until peppers wilt. Serve hot with rice.
